Dear Pastor and Praying Friends:

February 27th!! This is our departure date. In preparation for this, last month we traveled nearly 8000 miles and presented the work in eleven different churches. From Cooperstown, NY, to Calhoun City, MS, and just about everywhere in between. We had a blast preaching in 6 different states! Through all those visits we had six churches verbally commit and many more allude to the desire to help financially. 

This month we anticipate being a little closer to home. Praise the Lord!! That’s not to say we will be any less busy. We have eighteen services scheduled. Please remember these meetings and our travels in your prayers.

Yesterday in a service at Zion Hill Baptist Church, I had one of the most embarrassing moments since I started deputation. Long story short, I stood up to help pass out some literature and then sat back down. I then proceeded to put my arm around my wife and enjoy the rest of the service. But to my surprise, and hers too, it wasn’t my wife! Of all people, it was the pastor’s daughter-n-law. I had sat down one pew in front of where Bekah was sitting. Well, everyone got a good laugh and without a doubt they will remember the missionary to Peru.

An exciting opportunity has come up for us next year by invitation from the Mayor of Ilo, Peru. He has asked us to come up to his city and host a medical clinic. We are in the process of recruiting medical personnel that would be willing to volunteer their time to assist in this endeavor. There is also a great need for medical supplies. Offering free medical aid is a fantastic opportunity to show the love of Christ, opening the door for spiritual healing as well. Please pray that many souls will be saved through this ministry and that plans will go smoothly. If you or anyone you know would be interested in helping with this clinic, please contact us asap!
