Dear Pastor and Praying Friends: June 2008 This letter comes to you from the car as we travel 2000 miles from Arizona to our home in Georgia. The drive has been long but a good time of fellowship for us as we get to know one another better. The wedding is behind us now and all turned out beautifully. The whole week before the wedding Bekah had everyone praying that the weather would cooperate. We planned to have the reception outside and were hoping not to come out and find the decorations blown away. God is good and gave us beautiful weather. There were only a couple of very minor mishaps that only made it more memorable. Our ring bearer (my nephew) tripped as he reached the end of the aisle, but picked himself right back up and kept on walking! The second mishap involved me. Apparently either my ring shrunk or my hands grew, but after a few minutes of wrestling with it, she finally got it on! I would like to mention a couple of praises from this past month. The Lord blessed by allowing me to see six people accept Christ last month! Also four more churches pledged their support, putting us that much closer to our goal of reaching Peru at the end of January. In July we will be accompanying the youth group from our home church on a missions trip down to La Paz, Bolivia to visit Missionary Kevin White and Jorge Montenegro. After staying there for a couple of days we will take a bus to Arequipa, Peru for the remainder of our trip. Please pray that we will be used of God and that he will work in the lives of each of the young people on the trip. A vital part of our ministry in Peru is our television station. Last month we started a sponsorship program in which individuals can pledge one dollar a day. This will allow for one hour of preaching on the station per month. Approximately one million people are in the viewing area of this television station and could be potentially reached with the gospel. Please prayerfully consider helping out in this portion of the ministry. As always thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Each one of you are in ours as well. Your support of our ministry is a blessing to us and may the Lord bless you for your faithfulness. Missionaries to Peru, Jeremy and Rebekah Hall |
